FOUNDATIONS IN CHICAGO

David was on staff at his church in Chicago, IL from 1990 until 2002.  He worked in International Ministries, training and leading short-term mission trips. 

David left his church position in 2002 and he and his wife, Cheri, headed to the mission field. 

S. AFRICA MISSION FIELD (2002–2016)

They were based in Johannesburg, South Africa from 2002 until 2016. They did ministry not only in South Africa but also in sub-Saharan Africa.  David was involved in pastoral leadership development and conducted a research project.  Cherie was involved in HIV/AIDS ministry and ministry to primary age and high school students in an informal settlement.  Both of them participated in presenting workshops on various topics in the region. 

RETURN TO THE USA AND GLOBAL LEADERSHIP

In 2016, the Bulgers moved back to the USA to the home office of OC International in Colorado Springs.  Cherie took on the role as Executive Administrative Assistant in the Finance Department. David focused on Leadership Development from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, he took the position of VP of Global Ministries. He oversaw all OC workers overseas.
