David and Cherie Bulger were both on staff at their church in Chicago, IL from 1990 until 2002. David worked in International Ministries, training and leading short-term mission trips. Cherie worked in the Jr. High ministry as an administrator and then Division Leader.
The Bulger’s left their church positions in 2002 for the mission field. They were based in Johannesburg, South Africa from 2002 until 2016, doing ministry not only in South Africa, but also sub-Saharan Africa. David was involved in pastoral leadership development and conducted a research project. Cherie was involved in HIV/AIDS ministry and ministry to primary age and high school students in an informal settlement. Both of them participated in presenting workshops on various topics in the region.
In 2016, the Bulgers moved back to the USA to the home office of OC International in Colorado Springs. Cherie took on the role as Executive Administrative Assistant in the Finance Department. David focused on Leadership Development from 2016 to 2018 and then took the position of VP of Global Ministries in 2018, overseeing all OC workers overseas.
