
Leon and Melanie met when in college, Rice University (Houston, TX). While in college, they were leading the Impact Movement at Rice as Bible Study leaders and Evangelism coordinators with Cru. They graduated and married in 2000. They started the African-American ministry called the Impact Movement at Rice University; joined the Impact Movement in 2002 and in 2005, began their service at the Impact National Headquarters in Orlando, Florida.
Leon helped supervise university movements from North Carolina to Texas. While in Floritda they responded to an invitation by Campus Crusade for Christ-South Africa to help rebuild the campus movement in 2009. Leon was the Provincial Team Leader of the Western Cape province of South Africa. They served South Africa for 12 years.
Currently, they have returned to United States to continue ministry with Cru.
