I went to the hospital on September 30th in the the evening. Labor was light, I was 2 weeks overdue and the baby’s head was upright, so they said C-Section. My nurse, however, was from an island in the Caribbean. She asked me to trust her and she rubbed my stomach in a relaxing way and that baby turned over with the head down. At about 7am on October the labor started and at 10:28 am today, October 1st 1990, I gave birth for the first time. A strong baby boy with truly loving eyes and with a heart that loved to be loved.

There was much difficulty going on in my life at that time – but when God opened this door, everything came to a God only focus. I mean TRULY! My desires turned completely to God, so that’s all this baby boy was taught. I’m grateful to God for my boy – grateful for the the blessing that he has been to this mama’s heart and life; grateful to see him face difficulty with a hand that pulled God’s fist forward instead of His own; grateful to see him await the bride God ordained; grateful for his strong desire and gifting to help people find their life purpose to God’s glory.
I share this often – Joseph signs his notes ‘ Live In Love” and for Joe, this is the reality of how he lives – not just a signature. It’s a signature that all children of Christ just ought to follow.

Joseph’s love for God’s children is to help everyone of them to see God’s purpose and plans for their lives. It is the amazing gift God has given to him, and he is skilled at it. His ministry, XPose, leads Christ followers to stages of greater confidence in hearing and obeying God’s call on their lives. He doesn’t see it as a job, He sees it as a way to reflect the love of Christ every where he goes!! Isn’t that great!!! I’m a grateful mama!! When I look at my own wedding ring, I see many facets – sometimes it glistens bright white; at another angle it is a colorful prism; sometimes it looks like clear glass. My point is – no matter how I look at it or how it looks to me – it looks beautiful. Love too – in all of its facets is a beautiful thing. So then, why don’t we just try to take every experience of this day and respond to it in love. As for me I have to ask myself daily: Can I be love in every situation? Honestly – I don’t know! But I can certainly try.
My prayer today is that each person that I have contact with on this day (whether in person or electronically) will know that they are loved! My prayer is for a world where every Christ follower acts in love in EVERY situation. Loving the ones who love us. Loving those who are not so loving but are yet dear to us (you know, those crazy family members you don’t really like!). Loving those who mean us harm; those who commit wrongs against us intentionally; those who purpose to bring to ruin the plans that God has for us. I’m talking about going beyond forgiveness and showing them love.
Happy Birthday Jody Beau!
Thank you for being an amazing image of God’s love every single day! Oh how blessed this mama is! Oh how grateful this mama is! So very grateful that you know God and you love His people. Happy Birthday!!
And YES!! I’ll cook you whatever you ask for!!
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1 John 4:7-8
