Love Casts Out Fear

1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear

Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear

There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear.

God’s indescribable love for us removes fear of His judgment, because He accepted us and forgave us in Christ at Calvary. The fear of judgment is no more! In that same way, His love gives us both the ability and the drive to Love One Another with a love that accepts and forgives.

Total Acceptance. Total Forgiveness. No Fear.

Who wouldn’t serve a God like that!

I’m Home! It Was Great!

April 5th – I was outta here! Saturday, May 11th – I returned! The trip to Africa went well. It went even better than I expected.

My faith in Him just gets bigger and bigger. I am telling y’all that without faith in Him all of this would be impossible. I am telling y’all that this girl Lives By Faith!!

Six weeks away from home – and …

  • Not one seizure!!!
  • Very little vertigo!!
  • Memory loss that wasn’t interruptive.
  • Recognition of people was not perfect, but it went well.
  • Ability to minister to others was given by the Holy Spirit.

The testimony of His Power, His Presence, His Faithfulness, His Love, and His Grace & Mercy will be a part of who I am even more than it has been in the past!

I’m not sure what anyone reading this is facing. I’m not sure what is causing any person to doubt Our Father. I’m not sure what needs anyone has that they have not laid completely before Him. I’m not sure what level of self sufficiency has moved anyone into a place that does not show others that He is everything. But what I do know as that He is everything! He is worthy of all praise! He is worthy of all of our faith! He is worthy of all of our love! He Is Worthy!

I want to encourage you to give whatever you are facing to Him because whether it is health, finances, fears, desires, marriage, sin, thoughts, or more than any of these things … I am telling you that He loves His children and He loves to bless His children. If you’re facing anything, I believe that it is either for the Lord to direct/re-direct you; or it is to use your life to reflect His presence and power to others. It never works out our way, that is for sure! But it works out His way and His Way Is Best!!!

I have only two more appointments to give me full clearance into my normal life. I do appreciate a couple of you who have asked me to keep this journey going until those appointments pass.

God is good! I love Him! His love for me is greater than I’ll ever understand in this world!

Father, You are EVERYTHING!! You created it all! You are everywhere! You know everything! You are the Powerful One! You are The Sovereign Lord! You are worthy of all Praise! I give you Glory and Honor today for all that You are doing in my life, my health, and my heart. I give You all of the Praise for the Amazing work that You are doing in me! I confess that I have had fear, but I thank You for conquering it within me. I confess that I have had doubt, but I thank You for showing me the power of trust in You. Thank You, my God, for loving me so much! Thank You for standing with me every step of the way! Thank You for using my journey to bless so many of Your children. Father, please use me for the sake of Your glory. Father, please let this situation continue to be a testimony about who You are. Father, as you bring this to a place of healing, give me opportunities always to share what and Who You Are!! My love for you grows daily; My desire for You grows daily. Be with me; guide me and keep me. In the name of Jesus, and by the power of Your Holy Spirit I pray. Amen

Mother’s Day 2019

Happy Mother’s Day to me!!  Well, this is my 29th Mother’s Day — yes, I do count the time I was pregnant!! I was about 5 months pregnant on Mother’s Day 1990, the year that Joseph was born.

I’m a very grateful woman.

God has blessed me with two of the most wonderful sons any mom could ask for.  I’ve loved them every since the doctor told me I was pregnant!

My sons have brought me much joy and a deep love and they have, from day one, let me know without any question that I was their great mom.

My sons have reminded me of all of the beauty of the world. When they were children, they would point out things in nature – both animals and plants! When they got to be a little older they would point out music and books that were beautiful inside and out. When they became adults they added showing me amazing things that people all over the world are doing to make the lives of others richer!

My sons have grown up year by year in amazing ways. Potty training themselves (LOL! this is true). Learning to feed themselves as young babies. Learning to walk with just a little help. Learning to read when younger than others.  It always has seemed to me that they wanted their mom to know they wanted to help out by doing some things on their own.  Now, don’t get me wrong, it did take a minute for their laundry to become their own!

My sons have walked through our family transitions with no complaints.  We moved away from our family when their dad attended Dallas Theological Seminary – they made new friends and other adjustments. We left the USA to serve as full time missionaries in Ghana – they learned language and culture, made friends, built family, and loved the food. We sent them to boarding school 4 countries away from us when we lived in Ghana – they thrived in their studies and learned a lot about who they were. And most recently we had to adjust our family a bit because I became so ill that it touched their lives in real ways — they just adjusted to being support for me and showed me a love that had grown beyond measure.

My sons have always told me they were so grateful for everything.  As little ones both of them would hug me and say thank you almost every day. It has never ceased.  They’ve always told me thank you and they’ve always meant it.

My sons tell me all of the time how blessed I am that God gave me them.  LOL! Yes indeed, they do like me to remember what a blessing I received from The Lord in those 40 weeks!! They intend to blow my mind with their love for me and they do it!

These two fellas are the two most amazing 40 week blessings that any woman could ask for!!!

I’m writing all of this just to say … for Mother’s Day 2019 that I, the woman who gave birth to Joseph Timothy and Jeremy Titus, truly rejoices!! (Proverbs 23: 25) I am praising The Lord that my sons listened to their mama teaching them the truth of the gospel and, because they walk in that truth, I could have no more joy than I have! (3 John 1:4)

This Mama, with two tremendous 40 weekers that make my heart smile, is So Very HAPPY!!

Happy Mother’s Day!!
