A person who does not believe the truth of the gospel – will necessarily rail against it.
As believers, our motive should always be that people come to know and understand the truth of the gospel. Not only that they can be saved from Hell – but that their lives can be redeemed for the sake of the Kingdom of God; the Kingdom that will never end.
When people call themselves believers but they rise up against the truths that are in the Bible because it does not suit them, I am forced to ask myself if they are true believers.
Paul mentions his former ways and clearly tells us that he did these things out of ignorance – because he did not know that the gospel was truth. But once he knew – his life and his behavior was transformed. His life became about exposing people to their redeemer, Christ, and teaching them how to live for Him so that their lives would matter in eternity. Are we doing that? Leading people to Christ AND helping them to live for Him?
Father, May it never be enough for my heart to see a person come to salvation, but may I always desire that they know you personally as Father and are able to give their lives to you so that they will be made fruitful. Thank you for using me as a vessel of honor. I bless your name! Amen
1 Timothy 1:12 – 14
“I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service, even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief; and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus”
Thank you to so many of you who have sent kind words of encouragement as we recover here in Houston. Watching the movements of people from across the nation come to the aid of Texas in the midst of this devastation has been heartwarming. Incredible to see people show love across lines of all types.

I want to encourage you all to pray for others who are experiencing devastation at this same time: fires in Los Angeles; torrential rain in northern India, southern Nepal, northern Bangladesh and southern Pakistan; bush fires in Australia, and so much more! Many are suffering.
Pray for everyone! Pack your backpack and go help, if you can! Give money if you are able! Let’s show the world what the Love of Christ looks like!
I am blessed with a family and a group of friends that will have my back in even the most difficult circumstances. They support me with their prayers, their presence, and their treasure. I’ve never been afraid to go to them to express my needs of any kind. Grateful!
Recently, I was told that I seem to never be ‘bent out of shape’; never overly concerned about anything. And the person talking to me said that it must be because I have such a wonderful family and a faithful band of friends. I nodded – but then I said, “No. I’m at ease because I know who has me and I stay in tune with Him.” Don’t misunderstand me – those who surround me are incredibly wonderful! But I know that it is the Holy Spirit that guides them to pray; show up; and give! They couldn’t stand with me if He didn’t guide them to do it. The reason that I don’t doubt them, is because I don’t doubt Him!
The Christ for whom I live my life is all sufficient and never failing. The Christ for whom I live loves completely and extends grace in abundance. The Christ for whom I live is a hedge of protection and a hiding place. I am careful to start every day with Him and pause throughout the day to hear Him; to feel Him; to be with Him.
I’m in no way perfect – but He Is! My dependence is upon One who cannot fail so I know that All Is Well!! Even when the situation is not what I want it to be. If I have everything materially that I think I need – All Is Well. If I am in a financial bind – All Is Well. I know that He can empower me to do His will no matter if I have everything materially I need or even if I am weak in a circumstance or situation. He will use me for the sake of His glory no matter what, because in any weakness of mine – His strength becomes absolute.
Being one with The One causes my heart, at all times, to be satisfied and to know that All Is Well.
I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
